ED GOSEK  |  MEN'S HEAD COACH

Ed Gosek was named men's ice hockey head coach at Oswego after serving as the assistant coach for 13 seasons under Don Unger and George Roll. During his time as the assistant coach, he saw three athletes receive All-America honors, while 29 received All-Conference recognition.

The Oswego, N.Y. native presided over the only team national championship in Laker history, as his 2007 squad defeated Middlebury College in overtime to hoist the Division III title.

Gosek has been involved with the Oswego Minor Hockey Association for many years and won four New York State titles in his time as a head coach at that level. His efforts resulted in earning the NYSAHA Peter Rush Award in 2008 for displaying a selfless long-term dedication and commitment to the growth of youth hockey. Gosek was also the recipient of the Walter Yaciuk Award in 2009, presented annually by USA Hockey's Coaching Education Program to the individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the program during many years of volunteer service.
